Your article seems to be aimed at seniors. Being in my 60s I am definitely a senior. I have not tried the match maker sites you mentioned but I have used several online dating sites (in fact I wrote about my experiences in the book Internet Safari, Finding Love Online at 65) and found that the ones using personality tests did not give me better results. In all the services I tried, there were women whose profiles looked like a match for my interests. But the "rubber meets the road" when you actually meet. Some of the women who seemed so compatible online just didn't spark my interest in person. The value of the profiles is to screen out those who are obvious mis-matches so that the ones you meet are more likely possibilities for a relationship. I thinl internet dating works very well. I have used it on two different occasions and both times found someone for a long-term relationship -- but I had to meet more than 10 women each time before I found success.
